In late 1964, Chris Craft initiated production on their 3rd offering to the sail boat community; a 26 foot sloop rigged auxiliary they called the Capri 26.
Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, her underwater design features a fin keel and a rudder -skeg. Power is provided by a outboard located in a motor well behind the cockpit and concealed from view by a mahogany hatch.
Wide, uncluttered decks make working under sail easy . Below deck are berths for 4, a galley which includes a large cooler and a sink. A head, originally located in the aft cabin and later moved to the v-berth, was

1/2" POWER: OUTBOARD (6 HP TO 9 HP) CCA RATING: 21.8 Chris Craft built a total of 90 Capri 26s' in 1965-1967 and continued to sell them thru 1968. All were built at their Algonac, Michigan facility. While the Capri 26
underwent redesign in several areas (keel/rudder) during it's 3 years of production, it proved to be one of the more popular sail boats offered by Chris Craft. Of all the models built by Chris Craft, only the Shields and Caribbean were
produced and sold in greater numbers. |

Patricia's Eagle was purchased from a boat yard in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Formerly named 'Highly Z', she had been at rest in the yard for several years. She underwent a 8
month overhaul and was moved inland where she now resides at the Wateree Sail Club on Lake Wateree,SC.

In August of 1997, an association of Chris Craft owners was formed. Called "The Chris Craft Sail Boat Division", it is ass- ociated with the Chris Craft Antique Boat
